If a person who has been treated with leprosy is provided with a cow or goat, then they can sell their milk and gain a reasonable income. This independence and income is vital to help them rebuild their lives after treatment, and to sustain themselves for the future. 

£30 towards items for our family support packs which are given by newly diagnosed families. These packs contain useful and essential items for a hospital stay and will provide comfort and support.

Your donation will go towards the costs of providing tuition to a child who uses English as an additional language living in Bristol or Oxford. This includes recruiting and training a volunteer tutor, providing teaching resources and access to an online learning platform. It also covers the cost for the child and their family to attend one of our fun kids’ events or activities.

Be Well Collective provides monthly workshops which unite young people as a part of the Be Well community. Lead by an expert health professional, who provides an educational workshop to teach practical tools and skills to young people to help improve their mental health and wellbeing.

If leprosy is suspected, the sooner a diagnosis happens, the better, as then the patient can begin treatment as soon as possible. This reduces the risk of them suffering from long term health issues caused by this disease such as losing fingers or toes, or other disfigurements. 

We have devised these mini packs full of sachets for short visits.  They contain everything that our main packages do, but on a smaller scale.  We have designated stands in hospitals for these where the patients can help themselves, or they are postbiox sized so can be sent in the post if needed.
