Vibe Youth have vast experience in providing services to the most disadvantaged and economically marginalised young people and communities who are affected by poverty and hardship. Vibe Youth creates safe environments that challenge young people to identify and explore barriers that restrict them from fulfilling thier potential. Young people are struggling now more than ever, Vibe Youth address issues that inturn improves the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We are asking for support to reach our goal of £250 which will enable 10 young people to access workshops that will focus on supporting their wellbeing. Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps, located in an arid environment in the northern part of Kenya, are host to over 508,033 refugees and asylum seekers, from which more than the half are children. The camps are located in the north-western region of the country, which has the highest levels of poverty and lowest performance indicators relating to access to quality educational opportunities. 84% of the population in Turkana County, and 73% of the population of Garissa County, lives below the poverty line. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in the country, schools are closing at each pick outbreak and children do not have tools to follow home-learning. With the provision of solar radio, secondary school children will be able to follow live classes all year long.

Windle International Kenya manages secondary schools in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps as the lead implementing partner of the UN refugee agency, and runs a range of quality educational programmes and scholarships aimed at improving the educational outcomes and ultimately contributing to the creation of peaceful and durable communities.

Heart Heroes work with children and their families living with heart conditions. We aim to provide services for these children, to help them meet others who are in similar situations and allow their family to talk to other families going through related experiences. At Heart Heroes we: Support children with heart diseases aged 0 – 16. Organise events and provide socialising opportunities for children to attend. We aim to introduce families with similar experiences so that they can support each other.
