We run many mindfulness sessions at Autism Together and our Raby site would like to start doing these during the good weather out on our fields with nature and our goats and alpaccas roaming around. By being portable mats we can take them to support people directly in their homes or an area of their choosing such as our woodlands or wooden chalets. 

Changes Bristol is a charity that helps people in mental health distress. We actively support almost 1,000 people, holding 10 online and 6 in-person weekly peer support groups. A donation of £40 will cover the cost for a person to join one of our in-person meetings across Bristol for one month. 

Peer support is a regular gathering of people who have lived experience of poor mental health. These are facilitated by trained volunteers who will help to guide the meeting and allow everyone to have a chance to share and give feedback to their peers. At our meetings we help to encourage members to set goals for themselves so that they can start making small but measurable steps to becoming well again. We equip members with the tools they need to enable them to make positive changes to their lives. Regular members report increased feelings of confidence, resilience and self esteem.

£30 towards items for our family support packs which are given by newly diagnosed families. These packs contain useful and essential items for a hospital stay and will provide comfort and support.

Vibe Youth have vast experience in providing services to the most disadvantaged and economically marginalised young people and communities who are affected by poverty and hardship. Vibe Youth creates safe environments that challenge young people to identify and explore barriers that restrict them from fulfilling thier potential. Young people are struggling now more than ever, Vibe Youth address issues that inturn improves the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people. We are asking for support to reach our goal of £250 which will enable 10 young people to access workshops that will focus on supporting their wellbeing. Nurses provide vital ongoing treatment and support for those with leprosy, both within medical facilities and camps, as well as through outreach programmes in local communities. 

All the lock-downs in the UK has left many young people feeling bored, isolated and struggling to cope. We have been distributing our outreach activity packs to help make things a little better for young people and show them they are valued in our community. We've handed out over 60 packs and each week there's a different theme and content; From Movie nights, Pamper packs, Graffiti art and cookery, we provide everything thats needed in a little brown bag for young people to take away and do at home.

Cherished Gowns UK is a charity that provides the families of babies that are stillborn, miscarried or pass away shortly after birth with items of clothing that they are able to be dressed in for their funeral. We offer five sizes of Cherished Gowns, and each gown is accompanied by a hat, pair of booties, a blanket and a cloth nappy. These items are provided completely free of charge to parents, funeral directors, and we also supply every UK hospital with this service. All of the items that we provide are lovingly made by volunteers around the UK, from donated Wedding Dresses.

BillyChip®️ Foundation registered charity 1188779 was set up in 2018 to continue the legacy of Billy Abernethy-Hope a twenty-year-old ambulance driver from Bristol who was the inspiration and idea behind the BillyChip®️. After helping support the homeless at Christmas, Billy felt disheartened at how little support the general public gave to local homeless people. Many people donate to charity on a regular basis but Billy was surprised what a small percentage of donations were given directly to people living rough on our streets. Turns out most people are apprehensive to give money directly to homeless people because it's not possible to know how a donation is spent.

Unfortunately, the common perception is the money will be used for alcohol, drugs or cigarettes. Even if a donation of food or drink is given to safeguard your donation, it is very awkward as people have to make assumptions of what the person would like and when. The alternative is to engage with that person, ask the question and purchase what’s required which many feel uncomfortable doing. Billy recognized that the likelihood of someone having the time, inclination, courage, and kindness to engage with a homeless person to buy them food or drink was too big a challenge. That was the eureka moment when he first thought up the concept of the BillyChip®️. Sadly Billy never got to launch the BillyChip as planned due to his untimely death whilst backpacking in Thailand.
