Im running to help support Autism Together

This year AFK celebrates 30 years of providing special equipment, education and employment support for disabled children and young people. Can you donate to help fund travel, party food and activitirs on the day (26th June)

We run many mindfulness sessions at Autism Together and our Raby site would like to start doing these during the good weather out on our fields with nature and our goats and alpaccas roaming around. By being portable mats we can take them to support people directly in their homes or an area of their choosing such as our woodlands or wooden chalets. 

During the warmer days, the people we support love to be outside with a variety of activities. We would love to get this portable Badminton set so they can set it up and play with staff and others as a fun activity. 

The Boarding School is the name of our new indoor skateboarding project. We've got a hall full of ramps at our youth centre that we set up each week for young rippers. Your wish will help us provide skateboard tuition to a young person to help them progress and earn locally recognised accreditation.

Someone who has been treated for leprosy will wish to secure their future by working again, but are often unable to return to their previous physical labour. The gift of a small business means that they can generate their own income, providing for both themselves and their family. 

Feedback from families has shown us that there is a genuine need for an affordable and beautiful teddy bear to keep either precious memories or perhaps baby ashes.

The bear is made from luxury super-soft fabrics with high quality detailing and finishes. He is hand – washable and carries the CE standard mark so is safe for all age groups.

Community health workers play a vital role in supporting leprosy patients. They can diagnose the disease, train the person in self care and help prevent long term disabilities. 

Mentoring Young Creatives is a programme that matches a vulnerable young person with a well suited, experienced mentor to help support and guide them. Mentoring can help to reduce the rates of mental health issues by providing access to support with a like minded individual, helping young people to feel less alone in their mental health struggles.
