Im running to help support Amelia Trust Farm

Changes Bristol is a charity that helps people in mental health distress. We actively support almost 1,000 people, holding 10 online and 6 in-person weekly peer support groups. A donation of £5 will cover the cost for a person to join one of our online meetings. 

Peer support is a regular gathering of people who have lived experience of poor mental health. These are facilitated by trained volunteers who will help to guide the meeting and allow everyone to have a chance to share and give feedback to their peers. At our meetings we help to encourage members to set goals for themselves so that they can start making small but measurable steps to becoming well again. We equip members with the tools they need to enable them to make positive changes to their lives. Regular members report increased feelings of confidence, resilience and self esteem.

Little ones expecting a baby to arrive home and then not understanding why this hasn’t happened may struggle with their emotions, school and everyday life. We want to help relieve the stresses of dealing with this alongside your loss and therefore have developed a Play Therapy Service for our families.

Play therapy is a therapeutic approach developed to help children between the ages of three to twelve years old.

Our therapists work with a child to explore and resolve any issues around the loss of their sibling through the therapeutic use of play. This involves using toys, drawings, story telling and other creative tools in order to help heal the child in a positive and creative way.

A wish of £20 funds two vital support information packs  which provides help for two people at a crucial time after the shock of a devastating and life-changing brain tumour diagnosis.

The people we support love to take part in art activities of all sorts and we regularly go through lots of supplies. It would be great if you could support us in purchasing some extra equipment; things like paint, pens, pencils, easels, canvses, clay, tools etc. 

A bear to remember a child that has passed

Can you help us engage with young people? Every week we head out from the youth centre and engage with young people where ever they are. It's a great way to get useful services out to young people that might not know about them and offer support where it's needed. We like to offer young people a hot chocolate and biscuit while they chat to us and some really look forward to seeing us. Please help us by donating to buy this offering and help us engage with young people!

This will give a disabled child the chance to play with their friends or go on bike rides with their family while increasing their strength and independence

Your donation would provide a care package for someone living in isolation due to caring responsibilities and perhaps can’t get to a art group

Dover smART Project was founded in 2013 to provide opportunities for disadvantaged children in Dover to take part in a wide range of creative activities and experiences to boost their confidence, enhance their well-being, raise their aspirations and widen their outlook on the world. The charity soon evolved and began similar work with other groups, such as the people without a home and hospice patients, using art and creativity to support their various needs.
