Bristol School creates amazing artwork for charity!
Wishy is a charity platform that launched on 4th May 2021 by Bristol and Bath businessmen Liam Summers and Daniel Pidcock.
Wishy.org.uk allows people to grant wishes for charities. Charities can list ‘wishes’ for one-off needs or things needed regularly. For example, a homeless charity may have a one-off wish for sleeping bags or an ongoing wish for food and drinks. The public can grant these wishes by donating money on Wishy and the charities use 100% of the donation to fulfil the wish. Wishes are small enough that one donor fulfils the entire wish rather than adding to a larger pot.
It really is a 360 experience where you know exactly how your donation is helping and the charity, where possible, can contact you with thanks and updates on how your donation has made a difference.
To support Wishy, the incredibly talented children at Mangotsfield C of E Primary School have been working hard with the support of their wonderful teachers to make thank you cards which will be used by Wishy to thank the public for their charitable donations. Each child has designed an image which has been put together per class as a collage and will be featured on the ‘thank you for your purchase emails’ that are sent when a donation is made.
Liam, Wishy’s co-founder said
“The idea for the artwork came about because my children wanted to help Wishy. We believe it’s important for children to be a part of giving back to communities and so I contacted the local primary school who were more than happy to have the children create some artwork for us. We are thankful to the school for their hard work and support. The pictures are absolutely amazing. The school have been fantastic to work with and the results are incredible. Thank you, Mangotsfield Primary School staff and children, for your hard work and talent.”
Charities on Wishy support various causes including homeless, cancer, children, diseases, disabilities, mental health, youth clubs and many more.
